GSMA, an organization that represents the interests of mobile operators worldwide says a regular 5G cell can support 250,000+ sensors without compromising the quality of regular cellular communications. The organization predicts that by 2025 25 billion of these sensor devices will be in use.

The new generation of sensors using 5G mmWave technology from todays IoT sensors to artifical intelligent biosensors using nano technology. These sensors will provide mass volume of data and will be deployed across vertical industries over the next few years. There are already multiple uses for sensor deployment and rapid sensor development and further deployment occuring worldwide.
